Clean, used barrels. No odor what-so-ever in mine.

This container is bigger than I expected and smelled like pickles. I was told these were for storing olives. I also found out I could have bought one of these at my local feed & seed store for a fraction of what I paid here at SG. Too much trouble to ship back.

I've ordered three of these items and each has arrived in good condition and appear to be 'as advertised'. I've not used them yet but was impressed enough to order a fourth one. All will be put to use in the bunker to protect against moisture damage.

This was a pickle barrel, and it still has a faint vinegar smell after washing, but certainly not enough to keep me from buying another one. If I need it to be vinegar-free, I'll rinse it with lemon juice or scrub it with baking soda. It's in good shape, seals tightly, and is a size I can reach into easily. I'm very happy with it.

It will be used as a rain barrel to water the garden. It's built to last and the lingering smell was very minimal and not an issue at all.
