Reviews
Thermold AR-15 30 to 45-rd. Flex Mag is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not happy Two worked well, but the third will not hold ammo. The side flexes out and the round pop out

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Price 4 out of 5 stars because I haven't used them to test them out yet. Look good out of the box, but I haven't even attempted to load them to tell if the 45 capacity work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will Not Work as Advertised I first inspected each of the two magazines. The spring in one was rusted. I wiped off the rust with a cloth and WD-40. Although the magazines are advertised as having 30 or 45 round capacity, depending upon the position of the expandable housing, it was impossible to insert more than 26 rounds in them with the magazines in the "short" position, and 37-38 rounds in the extended position. Here's why. The magazine spring is much smaller in width than the inside of the housing. As rounds are inserted, the spring, rather than compressing uniformly, snarls and bunches up until, at the reduced number of rounds stated above, the snarled, bunched up spring will not compress further. I finally decided to leave the magazines in the extended position and load them with 30 rounds each. The springs, at this point, are somewhat distorted, but will probably function. I do not recommend these magazines.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from works good now. Had to do some modding to this mag. First it is rusting on the inside as other reviewers have said so I had to take it apart clean up the spring with emery cloth oil it then reassemble. Then it would not engage the mag catch in my AR so I had to do a fair bit of work to get it to lock in like it should to even be useable. I also had to get the spring to seat right to get more than 35 rounds in it but now it will hold a few more then it says eve at like 47 rounds. So if you like to tinker like me it can be made to work and if you're having trouble getting 45 in bang the bottom of the mad hard to compress the spring when it locks up and you can't fit any more rounds and that should free it up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from good price for a 30 rd it may say 30 to 45 rd but I couldn't even get 31 into it and then get the mag into my AR it needs some instructions

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, extended capacity magazines for the price of most 30 rounders. These mags are outstanding. Easily loaded, 30 round mags will expand to hold a fearsome 45 rounds. They are also cool in that you can put 30rounds in it while extended and not have to worry about shortening the spring life in your new mags. They also fit in the outstanding 15 magazine ammo box sold elsewhere in the catalog. The best magazine deal that I have seen for the serious AR15 owner. Uses .223 or .556 ammunition for even more versatility. Buy some...now!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GOOD addition to below review I forgot to mention the spring is very rusted and I will see if it can be removed, cleaned up and oiled before buying another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good I just noticed it is 45 rounds and I thought it was 40.I filled it and ran the bolt to see if it would go to last one and it did.I will need to put 45 in and try again but am sure it will work.I think I will order a few more if available.A little hard to get the release to compress to extend to 45 .there should me instruction with it showing what to do to extend ,but I did figure it out.
