Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Blanket First off, this blanket is made in India, so Swiss 'STYLE' should have been listed in the description. However it is a nice blanket, great for the price. It does come with a bit of the usual 'chemical' smell that all wool blankets come with. I assume it's a pesticide to keep the critters from eating the wool. (It's a blend, how much is wool ???) Although the smell is certainly not as bad as any of the other wools I have purchased in the past.Washed it with a little vinegar (even though the tag says "Dry Clean Only", did lose a little fuzz in the washer. The blanket is a mid-weight compare to other woolies, just right for most of my needs. If you don't like the blanket for some reason, Gary has the best satisfaction/return policy on the planet, so you can't lose.Considering the low price, well worth a purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Deceptive advertising Note that the product description says Swiss Army blanket. I ordered six blankets. Upon arrival, the labeling reads "Swiss-style wool blanket" This is not army surplus. I am concerned about the overall quality of this product made in India. The odor on the blankets is not of natural wood, but more like motor oil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well made and larger I bought two more of these blankets mainly because I had previously purchased two of these blankets and I have found that they are of excellent quality and thick. They are also larger than most Military blankets

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All-Around Great Blanket This is exactly what you want in a wool blanket—not too heavy or too light, compact, durable, and packs well. Be aware that it smells like wool used to smell before it became the hottest retro material out there, and that's a good thing. It means all of the lanolin hasn't been processed out of it, and while you may not want that in a hiking sock or a sweater it's definitely what you want in a military-style blanket.
