Swedish FireSteel Fire Starter for easy fire building in ANY weather!

There's not much you can do with a soggy book of matches. Ensure a nice, warm fire everytime you go camping with Swedish FireSteel! Just move the metal blade slowly across the FireSteel to generate 3,000°C sparks that can be easily thrown on dry leaves, paper or thin sticks to create a campfire in any altitude, rain or shine! Originally developed by the Swedish Department of Defense, FireSteel has become a favorite of survival experts, hunters and campers of all skill levels.

A spark of genius:
  • Lasts 12,000 strikes
  • Bright spark can be used as emergency signal
  • Great way to light stoves and gas barbeques.

A must-have, and great gift, for any outdoor enthusiast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this steel to put in my wife's back pack as I have one from a behr grill survival pack she got me for Christmas. This steel peforms a lot better than mine as I saw from the first strike. I took both out and the Swedish steel out performed it every time and with less effort. I guess I'm about to buy another for my pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best fire starter around, I bought this to replace one that was lost (or stolen.) I also recently tried it side by side against an off brand. I sparked each of them onto a paper towel and the difference was night and day. Actually the difference was repeatedly fire vs. no-fire. The off brand would not light the paper towel and the Swedish Fire steel did. I would put it out and try the other with the same result over and over. I am totally sold.
