Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stove I took this stove with me on a camping , Hiking trip with my son and the grand kids, and was very impressed with how well the solo stove worked. We started boiling water with a gas stove, and the solo at the same time, and although the gas stove was a little faster in bringing the water to a boil, the solo stove only used sticks and twigs to start and maintain a constant flame. This is a great buy, and extremely light to pack on hiking , camping trips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rather pricey, but very well made. I bought it as a back-up stove. I prefer the heat output of a gas powered mini-stove, but on long excursions things don't always go as planned. I filled the open space in the Solo stove with light weight fire-starter (drier lint for me) so the stove lighting is easy. The stove will only work if you have dry combustibles to keep feeding into the stove.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Duct Tape order The product is terrible. When you go peel off the tape it very difficult and all you get is the black topping, the adhesive remains on the roll. The product is worthless. I will be returning this product. Very dissapointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two Cups boiled in 7 minutes I had seen these stoves advertised on another site, and when SG had them for that low price I decided to buy. I tested it out in my own backyard with twigs and sticks I picked up under my maple tree. I used a piece of birch bark to as tinder and within two minutes I had a bright, hot, very directed conical flame shooting straight up out of the stove. I put a pot on containing two cups of water and it came to a boil in just over 7 minutes. That may be a few minutes longer than a "gas" powered stove, but considering I won't be carrying any fuel in my back, I feel a couple extra minutes is a fair trade off. Great stove, I would highly recommend it for any one who doesn't mind a little extra work getting boiling water.
