Pair of Sport Climbers AND Climbing Belt / Lanyard is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from I know plenty of linemen that have fallen using climbers - PLEASE be cautious... I have worked for an outside network for 20 years, this is no joke. The poles I climb don't have bark to contend with, i.e. willow bark is VERY THICK vs. White Pine bark, very thin. Before you use these do 2 things, 1, put on a pair of spike healed shoes and try to balance on them - that is exactly what it's going to feel like when you're up in the air and, 2, try to find someone that has used these, power company or older phone company lineman to get you started - if your dead set on REALLY taking a risk. Trees sway ALOT more then power or telephone poles do in the same wind, also the menuverablility is not great - you will always have a blind spot directly behind you unless you are using these to get to a tree stand - I would still recommend a climbing stick or ladder much more highly than this method. This is for the "ever - greens" out there - it REALLY chew up the tree, that's why loggers only use these WHEN THEY MUST.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Sport Climbers are notably shorter than the professional models, thus their lower price. I found them to be uncomfortable, due to heavy stress on the ankles. To address this, I will bolt an extension onto the riser bar, so the top strap and pad is at the top of the calf, rather than only a few inches above the ankle. I happen to have a piece of flat bar stock from an old project laying around, so this will be pretty simple for me to fix.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good idea. Well built overall. Spikes not long enough for trees with thick bark. Be careful. I will stick with my climbing stand at my age.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This item was over-priced in my opinion. They were not the quality I was expecting for the price paid. It would be interesting to see your cost for this one.
