I have 27 scopes most were purchased from the SG. I had my buddies compare this scope with several other makes when I was sighting in. I had the Monarch, a Barska 3-12X50 IR and a new Millet TRS-1. All 3 purchased here. Personally, I prefer the TRS-1. I now have 2. One guy liked the Nikon, one guy couldn&apos;t decide. We all though the Barska would be OK (maybe) for a close shot in sunlight. I also have 2 LRS-1s. EXCELLENT scope. ron </span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2012-10-13</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2012-10-13" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="39718572"> <meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Nikon Monarch 4 - 16x42 mm Mil. - dot Reticle Scope, Matte Black" /> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span></span> by <span itemprop="author">KEVIN</span> from <span itemprop="name"></span> <span itemprop="description">Scope looks and works great on my Remington 700 Varmint 223.
