Rated 5 out of 5 by from great scope I put it on my browning bolt action 30.06 and have never missed anything that I shot at that was in the glass. the bdc works with some of the cartridges that you use and is very close on all the others. if you take your time and practice with the ammo your going to use you can use the bdc on just about any ammo that is no bigger than .308/30.06. I used them on almost everything smaller and I find that the bdc is very nice to have and work with the 4x12x44 308 bdc scope is just the best thing since smokeless power to with the 308 win.i used the Nikon single piece mount and the 4x12x44 bdc scope and I used my laser bore sighter and was on the paper at 100 yards ,with 2 ajustments I was on point.cannot say enough about Nikon scopes.i will never use any other brand again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scope, Great Price Since my Grandson put a Nikon scope on his deer rifle I've been sold on Nikon. This year I put one on my deer rifle and like it very well also. That's why when making up my mind what scope to put on my new 243 I went with the Nikon 4-12 X 40. It's really clear making it easier to see thru in low light conditions. I have already sighted it in and am very pleased with this scope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Buy I needed a stronger scope. this scope was rated by NRA as a best buy, I used it this week end and could tell if I was looking at a spike or a small 4 point buck at 240 yards. easy to look through, easy to focus, no rings to tighten up after focusing to stay on target. I am very happy with it.
