New U.S. Military Surplus Crewman's Poncho is rated 4.5714 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical and rugged I bought one to use in winter weather. It is a body cover which protects from such as cold rain or sleet. The first time it saved me was changing a flat in the freezing sleet. I failed to mention the insulating liner, sold at SG, is a must unless you live in tropical climate. I have purchased one for each of my kids and spouses to keep as emergency cover in their vehicles emergency jump bags. They are well made and withstand contact without ripping open.I consider them necessity nowI appreciate the ruggedness of most military items over lots of stuff sold in stores

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I ordered two, "New U.S. Military Surplus Crewman's Poncho's" I have not tried them yet but they look great. What's not to like they are made in the USA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price, works well Though maybe not to military specifications, especially the grommets around the edges, this poncho works well as a poncho. Just after purchasing this poncho my son and I got caught in a thunderstorm while camping along the Peace River in Florida and we stayed dry until the storm blew over. My only concern is the grommets along the edges, I am not sure if they are strong enough for a shelter. We will see on our next outing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not really military issue This poncho does not have any type of marking on it of any type and I've never seen a military garment without it's corresponding info tag. There's no way it's military issue. Comparing it to a known 1990's era military poncho I have, it seems to be the same rip-stop nylon, but the hood and side snap area don't seem as well designed. I've had a hard time finding another genuine mil issue poncho and have bought some civilian ones that try to mimic the real thing but fall short. This is probably the best quality of the fakers that are out there. Also, it isn't reversible as advertised unless you turn it over for a shelter. You can't realistically wear it as a tan poncho. I'd only recommend this if you realize it's not the real thing but pretty close. Also the price is pretty high for not getting the real thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice poncho which continues to be advertised as "reversible", which it is not! I can turn my jeans inside out, but that does not make them reversible, same with this poncho. It is constructed as a one sided garment,;it is simply is tan on the inside. You could stretch a point and say when used as a shelter tarp it is reversible, but a truly reversible poncho it is not! The claim that it is genuine USGI mil surplus is also open to debate, USA manufacture, yes, USGI surplus, mmmm?
