Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Expected! I wanted to get my son a unique, awesome looking camo jacket. As it turns out, the size ran larger than was expected, so I ended up with a unique, awesome looking camo jacket instead. It has large pockets and a durable brass zipper. A quality product, even if it was made in China.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value On A Great Jacket This is a nice jacket with an interesting camo pattern. While I don't believe this is an actual military issue jacket it is well made with expandable pockets and a heavy duty zipper. Often times military clothing seems to be undersized by US standards. That is not the case here. I ordered a Large and it fit with room to spare. If you're looking to add another jacket to your camo collection this could be the one for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TAP 47/56 tribute This jacket is modeled after the venerable (and very collectible) TAP 47/56. In terms of feature layout, it is a more faithful copy of the latter than the EOTAC version that SG used to carry, but the camo pattern here is even more 'off' than the one found on the EOTAC. Indeed, it is so different from any of the original Lizard patterns that one can only assume that this "mistake" was intentional. Hence this smock is more of a tribute to the real deal than a reproduction per se.On the plus side, the garment is made out of cotton HBT of relatively 'correct' weight, with double-stitching on all the stress seams, and will likely wear very well as a field jacket, with plenty of room underneath for layering. The earlier reviewer who gave it one star for being too "baggy" and of insufficiently martial appearance should google photos from Dien Bien Phu and the Algerian campaign! The two examples I received exhibited none of the manufacture defects that others had reported, so there may be quality differences between lots. However, this is a commercially made functional jacket being sold for the price of a lousy souvenir T-shirt, how can anyone still complain?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great outdoor jacket Fits perfectly over a sweater. Has concealed left breast pocket; perfect for conceal carry. Rugged, plenty of pockets. Great for hiking the desert in cooler weather. Can't beat the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great quality considering the price. Only downside is the lack of snaps on the lower right side pocket. The snaps appear on the exterior of the pocket, however there is nothing to snap to. Not sure if this is by design or an oversight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very good price I took a personal gamble on the size (2xl) after reading another revue about jacket sizes being oversize(in addition, it is cotton so it may shrink). I did not find that to be the case. The jacket is well made and detail is very good at an exceptional sale price, but "alas" no go on the fit. Hey Sportsman's Guide, get bigger sizes than 2xl in your reproduction military garments and you will see me (and many others) buy more often. Best regards.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These jackets are too baggy I ordered a large and fits like a 2xl, Military gear usually runs fitted and snug, this s made in china and does not have the authentic vintage fit of mmilitary gear, these jackets are good for over weight people and people who like the baggy fit look, the ppicture of the jacket gives one the impression that it's slim fit, WRONG these are baggy fit, I am 6ft 185 and a large fits me like a baggy robe and it runs belwo my waist. I am going to have to get it tailored to fit me right, just be aware I ordered a large and it fits like 2xl, these jackets run baggy.
