New Italian Military Surplus Quilted Parka, Olive Drab is rated 4.2857 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tailored for Europeans I purchased an extra large version of this parka. It was crisp and new and made of material similar to the M65 Field Jacket. But it was too small across the shoulders and had to be returned. I guess Italians are skinnier than Americans. Order up a size if looking to buy this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One warm Italian I own a lot of military coats , this is the warmest thing I have ever owned, it is the combination of a sleeping bag and a coat, it's bullet proof. I'm 5-7 160 I bought a medium and it fits perfect ,almost touches the floor. It's brand new with designer labels, I looked them up. It's nice to have a zipper and buckles, plus it's got a fur collar and a hood that can be removed. This coat is everything the American military coat isn't . The only thing about this is, it would be too warm to march in unless your in Alaska . I put mine on with the wind howling in negative temps and felt guilty while my dog had his flimsy jacket on, we need these for dogs. This is the best purchase I have made yet. Thanks SG from an American Italian boy! True

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent winter wear ;Great cold weather coat. Yes, it's heavier then most, but gives you full protection. Understand it was used like a sleeping bag for cold weather troops .Plus it's cool looking.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Attractive but built of killer cotton The jacket looks as pretty as it does in the pictures, with rugged-looking stitching and functional hardware. It's only once it arrives that the flaws of the coat become apparent. The first problem that assails the eye is the prominent marking "100% cotone". Now, I had to consult Google translate, but that means "100% cotton". Cotton is NOT my first choice for cold weather gear. Still, if relegated to the shell, it would be burdensome but not dangerous. Unfortunately, the insulating liner is also 100% cotton. With sufficient waterproofing, it might might be safe for light use, but it should not be relied upon to keep you safe from cold. The second major problem is the insulation around the arms, which is to say there isn't any. It might have an extra layer of cotton twill, but it is otherwise unprotected, necessitating a heavy underlayer with sufficient sleeve insulation. The last major problem is that the insulating liner restricts the wearing of heavy underlayers. The armholes in the liner, which, once again, provides no insulation for the arms, prevent the wearing of all but the thinnest shirts. Even my fairly trim-cut merino sweater would bind up in the arm holes, and, bro, I don't even lift. The fit seems to be okay. I ordered an XL and, despite often needing a XXL, I was able to zip the coat comfortably. The bulky, cotton insulating liner is a bit restrictive, but I foresee it wearing in with use. I only tried it on with a bare minimum of clothing layers, so, if I were foolish enough to use this cotton coat for more serious cold weather gear, I would probably need a larger size. As it is, I would only reccommend this as a barn coat for doing outdoor chores around the home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm 5'7" 175 lbs. the large is a large fit and a very heavy new coat (about 9 lbs.) liner is like a pillow top cover don't plan on doing much walking you'll burn down or you can remove the big white liner also a little tight in the shoulders the wool liner is more like a light cotton liner permanently attached to shell of coat overall good buy at sale price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a bargain The quilted lining makes this coat feel like an electric blanket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from does not fit I purchased this item in the size that normally fits me. However, after trying it on, I found that I cannot move my arms because it is not broad enough across the shoulders. There was no packing slip in the box when I received it and I don't know how to return it. Please advise. It does me absolutely no good.
