Reviews
Naturepower Nemo 400W 12V Wind Generator is rated 3.875 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from I haven't had a chance to assemble and use it yet, but was disappointed to see that it was made in China and had poorly made blades, which will affect the performance as I've learned from past wind generators.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No opinion at this time. I am at my winter residence and sent it to my summer residence. The surprise will be when I get back north. It was delivered on time and better than expected time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like my generator, now all I need is some steady wind. Thank you for your low prices, I checked around and you were on the average 50 to 100 dollars cheaper than anyone else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from put up the wind turbine last week. today the wind was strong enough that the turbine worked. very pleased with power output
Date published: 2013-11-22
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mounted on the pole about a month ago, Have had pretty high winds 35mph+ and it just sits there. It might make a 1/4 turn if a big gust of wind comes along. Checked for shorts and there's none. Tested before putting up with a cordless drill and it turned pretty easy until loading it. And it wasn't bad then, about what you would expect. Double checked blades and all seems OK. But it won't turn. Ordered different blades. A set of 5 and a little longer for a 600 watt turbine. Wait & see!
Date published: 2013-02-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have yet to mount the wind-turbine. Other sites feedback note the higher wind required for starting. I plan on mounting a small weather monitor next to the wind generator for data collection and planning for additional wind generators on my property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have not mounted it yet but will soon for a trail run. It is very well made. Components look very industrial. Perfect back-up home power source or primary power for remote deer lease. Couple it with solar and you've got a good capability for basic needs.

Nature Power 2000 Wind Turbine. FREE ENERGY where the electric company dare not go.

A remote 1-room Alaskan outpost. A rugged, wind-swept worksite. 100s of miles from the nearest paved road, and maybe double that to the nearest sign of civilization. There are some places the electric company just won't go. And even if they did, there's absolutely NO way they'd offer you the same rate you'll get with the Nature Power 2000 Wind Turbine: $0.00 per kWh. Even on the grid, that's a hard price to pass up for a supplementary power source in your own backyard.

Your Free Energy Solution is Blowing in the Wind. Of course, the Nature Power 2000 Wind Turbine isn't free. But the energy source it draws from is. And inexhaustible. As long as there's an Earth, there will be wind. Sure, some days are windier than others, but that's OK. On really blustery days, the Nature Power 2000 Wind Turbine reaches 2,000W maximum power at 45 MPH wind speed. But it begins to supply power in a breeze as light as 7 MPH. Use it to charge 48V battery systems to power up TVs, laptops, power tools, lights and more!

Efficient Operation, Made-to-Last Materials and Easy Assembly, Too. Seriously easy assembly. In fact, there are only 5 parts in all: body, nose cone and 3 blades. Mounts on any 1 1/ 2 " Schedule 80 steel pipe. Maintenance-free design features an industrial-strength die-cast aluminum body, carbon fiber composite blades engineered for low-noise operation and a high-quality marine-grade coating for true all-weather excellence. The Nature Power 2000 Wind Turbine's internal Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Smart Controller varies voltage-to-current-ratio for the most efficient charging. Overspeed / Overcrank shutdown prevents damage in high winds.

The finer points:

  • Monthly energy output at 20.6 MPH is 350 kWh, or roughly 37% of the average monthly household consumption in the U.S. (940 kWh)
  • 21 amps
  • Maximum survival wind speed: 110 MPH
  • Synchronous generator type, 3 phase power generator with neodymium iron boron magnets
  • Inverter not included
  • Unit measures 32 x 20" w. 70" blade diameter.
