Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!!! I was tired of the red plastic gas cans always leaking around the seams and heaven that pour spout OMG. I took a chance after reading the reviews. I looked up info on these NATO Military Jerry Can They are NEW German Military Oil Can. They spec out as followsWeight: 4.3kgDimensions: 470x165x345 mmProduced according to TL 7240-002 (7240-12-179-5055)Bigger neck and cap with Bayonet closure (diam. 55 mm) – what allows the can to be easily emptiedManufactured from hot-dip aluminium-silicon (AS) coated steel (Coating min. 50g/m2)The inside of the can is lined with fuel resistant coating to prevent rusting (Thickness of paint min. 30 μm)The outside of the can is coated with special military paint-powder RAL 6031 or wet paint, which absorbs infra-red light (Thickness of paint min. 70 μm)Tested and approved rubber sea.I have just ordered another 4 Cans with 2 New NATO Spouts because you will not find a better can or deal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price for the quality The NATO gas can is every thing I expected plus more
Date published: 2015-08-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fair Price I ordered the US and the German Jerry cans as a comparison. Both are well made and far superior to the plastic cans that usually split after one year. The spout I ordered fit the US can but not the German Jerry. The lids are very tight and require proper operation but that should be a positive once used. No more leaky cans.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't fill them You cannot fill these are your local gas station because they will overflow! The inside has those stupid safety valves so you cannot get the nozzle of the pump all the way in. Then, there isn't enough room in the cap to handle the force of your typical gas pump......very frustrating. Then, to make it worse, once there is gas I. The can you cannot return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Quality Very pleased with this brute container. It is expensive but well worth the cost. This product is not the cheap, flimsy knock-off, thin tin junk. I also bought the pour spout; it is also top quality. I will get another for water storage. Thanks Sportsman's Guide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I needed Trying to fill the tractor or generator from the plastic cans while balancing on the valve on the nozzle was pain which is why I ordered these with a spout. The cans were in good shape but showed signs of shipping. The caps were sealed tight and I had to work to get them open but everything was in good shape and the cans were coated on the inside. The spout fit very well. filled four cans with no leaks. The filler spout worked great, vented while filling tanks and went faster than the plastic cans. I

Convenient transport of fuel or water made simple at a bargain price!

Time-tested hauler emulates the classics during WWII. Seems original metal Jerry Cans were created by the Germans to keep fuel portable so their blitzkreig-style war machine could keep moving forward. Fact: the name Jerry Can refers to its German origin, "Jerry" being wartime slang for Germans. Each new military-inspired Jerry Can holds 20 liters (5 1/4 U.S. gal.) of fuel. Just what you need to keep equipment running such as your ATV, pickup, swampbuggy, chainsaw, mower... you name it. We cut a deal on a limited supply so you can save at a price lower than the PX at a military base!

Makes hauling a large supply of fuel or water easy and reliable.

These rugged, all-metal "cans" are used as fuel containers (paint red for gas), green for diesel fuel. Or they can carry potable water (leave as is) for troop hydration.

  • Tough stamped steel construction holds up to abuse
  • 3 handles make it easy to carry / maneuver
  • Rubber gasket and locking pin keeps lid securely closed
  • Breather tube allows for easy pouring, less spills
  • 20 liters means large volume from a single unit
  • Proven performance, based on the classic U.S. Jerry Can copied from the Germans.
