Military Jerry Can Fuel Steel Tank, 10L (2 1/2 Gallon).

Time-tested hauler. Original Jerry Cans were engineered in Germany in 1930 for military use to hold fuel. Today, similar cans emulate the classic originals.

  • Built-in carry handle
  • 10L (2 1/2-gal.)

Military Jerry Can Fuel Steel Tank, 10L (2 1/2 Gallon) is rated 4.3673 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brand not specified. I bought 2 of these cans to use for fueling my brushcutter, because the red plastic containers have a stupid spring-loaded spout gadget that is completely impractical for fueling things like lawn mowers, etc. It seems sturdy and is a handy shape and size. If you are carrying it empty in the back of a vehicle, stow it in a positive fashion. It makes a heck of a racket if it's bouncing around.Be sure to bring a funnel with you when you take this can to the gas station. The spout opening has an anti-glug air tube in it. This prevents the nozzle of the gas pump from fitting far enough inside to prevent spillage and splashback. Without the funnel, you will have to fill the can in short spurts, squeezing and releasing the pump valve repeatedly. Even with this issue, I prefer this can to the red plastic container with it's stupid spout gadgetIf you buy this product, be sure to buy the 'military jerry can spout", which attaches to the fuel can using the same clamp that retains the can's cap. It has a rubber gasket for a tight seal and makes it much easier to pour fuel into a lawn mower or brush cutter fuel tank without spillage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money. After the can arrived I cleaned out the weird smelling residue in there and put fuel in it. 12 hours later the interior of the can had rusted all over. So the fuel is now ruined and the can has hit the trash. Don't waste your time or money on this product, it is inferior to similar US cans.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defectively designed The spout with rubber seal in place will not affix to the can. It won't latch. I bought 2, both same problem. I tested spout, no seal, with H2O and it leaks profusely. SG kindly accepted the return.Still searching for gas can without new safety spout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Price is OK Great size for extra gas for my OTV.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor venting. When stored with gas in them, these cans do not vent, and the sides will either buckle or bulge. Seam on bottom does not allow the can to sit securely, even on a flat service. Spend the extra and get actual military surplus cans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from served it's purpose This gas can was bought to carry non ethanol gas for a generator. I have just returned from a trip of over 4,700 miles with the can tied to the ladder on the back of a slide-in truck camper. The main body is in good shape, however there is rust on some welds on the handle and latch for the spout cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Can Looking for something smaller than the five gallon, but larger than a gallon. This five liter can fit the bill. I also got the locking nozzle for it. This can is not as cumbersome as the five gallon.
