Details & Specs

Military-spec Jungle Combat Boots.

Fact is, Jungle Boots are a type of combat boot designed for use in jungle warfare like Vietnam and Panama. These military-spec beauties are ideal in hot, wet and humid environments, where a standard leather combat boot would be totally uncomfortable or unsuitable to wear.

Jungle boots are designed to aid in ventilation and drainage of moisture. From steamy Amazon-like scenes to a concrete jungle, these are the safari-type Boots to deploy.

Ready for duty:

  • Breathable nylon and full-grain leather uppers
  • Rubber-lug outsole
  • Steel shank
  • Leather insole
  • Unlined
  • Ventilation / drainage ports.
  • Each approx. 9 1/2"h., 23 ozs.

These are great copies of the Vietnam JB's I had 30 years ago. They are sized the same too, a 12R fits my size 13 c-d foot perfectly with a light wool sock. The smell that everyone complains about is the same scent you smell in a Chinese tool store. It goes away if you set the boots in the sun. When I went to the post office to pick them up the lady behind the counter stated that she wondered who the stinky package belonged to. The soles are super grippy and do not squeak on wet floors.

We have a problem. Size 12 was way too big for my kid--his last pair of shoes were size 12 Nike. We ordered size 11R boots--also too big for size 12 boy, a little long and way wide. Returned both today. No time to reorder.

Decent pair of boots. The fact that they are made in China and are very low priced I was not expecting triple A+ boots. They are just like the ones I use to buy at the surplus stores back in the 80's for the same price. I did need to put an insert in them. They have no cushion, very flat. Wore them 4 wheeling last weekend and I'm pleased.

Good looking boots but far from Mil Spec quality. No speed laces, no welt construction (so not resoleable) the leather is thin and lower quality than expected... We'll see how they hold up butter I'm not optimistic.

The anti-fungal chemical dip was a bit stout so air them out in the sun for a day or two, but these are as good as the ones I was issued. Want a pair of black ones now.
