Details & Specs

Military-spec Jungle Combat Boots.

Fact is, Jungle Boots are a type of combat boot designed for use in jungle warfare like Vietnam and Panama. These military-spec beauties are ideal in hot, wet and humid environments, where a standard leather combat boot would be totally uncomfortable or unsuitable to wear.

Jungle boots are designed to aid in ventilation and drainage of moisture. From steamy Amazon-like scenes to a concrete jungle, these are the safari-type Boots to deploy.

Ready for duty:

  • Breathable nylon and full-grain leather uppers
  • Rubber-lug outsole
  • Steel shank
  • Leather insole
  • Unlined
  • Ventilation / drainage ports.
  • Each approx. 9 1/2"h., 23 ozs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but don't listen to reviews of buying one size up. Good but don't listen to reviews of buying one size up. These are great but needed my normal size. The next time I will order my regular size because now I have to wear really thick socks to make these work for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Look good, Average value. These boot broke in fairly fast and became very comfortable for my 8 hour security shifts. I wear them with thin black socks to deal with South Florida heat / humidity. The leather takes a good spit shine and I kept them that way. At two months in, cracks started to show up at the leather flex points on one boot. In another month the other boot as well. At eighteen weeks I retired the boots as duty wear as the cracks were too un-presentable. I have gotten some more use out of them as ruff around boots. If you do a cost analysis based on price/month of use, I suppose that they are of some value. Considering them as semi-disposable has merit if they are at risk of being damaged by your use. No terrible loss if they get destroyed in an incident in the first month. In this senario I would be sure of the size you need and then get more than one pair. Also, the smell that others have mentioned has gotten less but never completely gone after a year and a half.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Real Deal I am a Vietnam Veteran and the Jungle boots we wore were comfortable and protective. Since my E.T.S. in 1975, I have been looking for a real pair of these jungle boots. I found them at the Sportsman's Guide. These boots are the real deal guys. I am going to order a 2nd pair to make sure I have them for the rest of my life. Thanks Sportsman's Guide, I am glad I found you.Jay

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Looking Boot The boot has the look of real quality. I found the boots hurt my feet until I installed some gel inserts. After the gel inserts the boots feel as great as they look. Cut the inserts a little oversize and they will fit perfectly. Someone else may be able to wear these boots as is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These are great copies of the Vietnam JB's I had 30 years ago. They are sized the same too, a 12R fits my size 13 c-d foot perfectly with a light wool sock. The smell that everyone complains about is the same scent you smell in a Chinese tool store. It goes away if you set the boots in the sun. When I went to the post office to pick them up the lady behind the counter stated that she wondered who the stinky package belonged to. The soles are super grippy and do not squeak on wet floors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from We have a problem. Size 12 was way too big for my kid--his last pair of shoes were size 12 Nike. We ordered size 11R boots--also too big for size 12 boy, a little long and way wide. Returned both today. No time to reorder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent pair of boots. The fact that they are made in China and are very low priced I was not expecting triple A+ boots. They are just like the ones I use to buy at the surplus stores back in the 80's for the same price. I did need to put an insert in them. They have no cushion, very flat. Wore them 4 wheeling last weekend and I'm pleased.
