Backordered as I was advised. 2000 grams of thinsulate will arrive in mid-summer. The way things are going in Chicago we will still have winter in June and the price was really good compared to the outdoor stores, so I am happy. I get them oversized and wear lots of socks for warmth, comfort, and shock-absorption. That really gives happy feet.

The boots looked to be good quality but the reason we wanted side zip was to be easier to put them on and with that gusset in them they don't open up far enough to help much.

I bought these to replace the Itasca boots that I wore out. At first I was a little apprehensive. The zippers were a little stiff and on first wear it felt like the boots had a small bump in the soles. Once I took out the silica gel packs they wore fine and are very comfortable, warm, and waterproof. Given the amount of snow we have had, I even wear them to work, and I am outside walking for 6 - 8 hours a day every day. Good boots for the money and an exceptional value.

These boots fit perfectly and are warm enough for my husband's feet.
