Reviews
HQ ISSUE Military-style ECWS Sleeping Bag is rated 3.75 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great-ish. I'm not a small human. 6'2," north of 220lbs, etc. I can squeeze into this bag. Barely. I'm never had a chance to field test the bag below the 50's, but I would imagine that it would work great for smaller folks. If you're over six foot or you're all scrunched up in the bag, you're probably not going to sleep great, but you'll sleep warm. Bare in mind that the more compressed the bag is against you, the less hollow spaces in the insulation, the less warm air get's trapped and the lower the effectiveness is of the product. The missus thinks it's cozy for her, so we have a pair of these.Other than size, the only other draw-back for me is the compression sack. It falls apart. For moderate weather, or even deep winter in the deep south, I think you'll be good with this system even without a tent. If I was anticipating a solo trek up the Gran Paradisio in the middle of a snow-storm, I'd shop around a bit more.Know your operational environment, know it's extremes, and pack accordingly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a wonderful set up, with the "three bag" design the uses are almost endless. It packs down fairly well. My only complaint is I am a big guy, around 6'4" and 250 lbs. It is almost too small for me. If it had a couple more inches in length and was a bit wider also it would be a perfect bag. But that is more my problem then yours.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I am only 5'8" and this bag is extremely snug. A larger person would not be able to even zip the bag. It seems to be well made and very warm. Also very difficult to stuff the bag back into its carry bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bag is a bit tight for me but extremely warm. Very disappointed in the bag that came with it. I have rolled up my fair share of sleeping bags and can get them pretty tight. This one would need a steam roller to get it back in its storage bag.
