HQ ISSUE® Camo Multi-Band Dynamo & Solar Powered Radio to keep you connected, no matter where you are!

No power? No problem. Even when you're miles from the nearest wall outlet, this HQ ISSUE Solar Dynamo Radio is still ready to pump out news, music and more. The secret is in the built-in solar panel on top. It drinks up sunlight and returns it in the form of sound! No sun? You're still covered.

Integrated hand crank on this solar radio lets you really "crank up" the tunes! Telescoping antenna helps you pick up crystal-clear sound on AM and FM bandwidths, as well as important weather-band info. Who knew an emergency tool could be so fun? Crank it up!

Now hear this:

  • 11 bands: AM / FM, shortwave 1/2, and weather bands 1-7
  • NOAA weather alert sends dispatches directly to radio
  • LED flashlight, 5-LED reading lamp and S.O.S. emergency light built right in
  • Rubberized case and strap
  • Includes USB port / charger and headphone jack. 8 x 2 1/2 x 5"h. 1 lb., 4 ozs.
  • Unit will operate on (3) AA batteries (not included).
Reviews
HQ ISSUE Camo Multi-Band Dynamo & Solar Powered Radio is rated 4.3421 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does Everything It's Supposed To Do This HQ Issue radio, except for the name, and the camo color, is exactly identical to the Kaito Voyager radios that are for sale everywhere. The price is the same, too! I have both, and they both work well in any desired mode of power up. I took away one star because these radios are supposed to work with an AC adaptor, which does not come with the unit, but which I believe should come with it. Buy either radio with confidence, but don't pay more than $45, as that seems to be the going price for the Kaito Voyager. It would be nice to find it for less, and that would make it a buy - SG - hint hint!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor performance. If you're serious about purchasing an "emergency radio" avoid this model. It's an extremely poor performer in almost all areas. The reception is poor at best even on strong signals. If you place the radio down and walk away you'll lose the signal and basically have to hold the radio to be able to hear the station. After cranking for 2 minutes to charge the battery it played for approximately 4.5 minutes and then needed recharging. A replacement battery might solve this problem but I don't think that should be a necessary purchase on a "new" radio. There's more to gripe about but I think that you get the message: avoid this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Terrible reception. I bought three of these - one for myself and two for gifts and I am completely embarrassed for giving someone one of these. Quality is terrible. My clock radio gets better radio reception. Definitely a "do not buy".

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fair price Does not work as well as I thought it would, does not work on the regular batteries, I could be doing something wrong, I put it away for another day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from California Earthquake Requirement This is the perfect communication device, if an earthquake takes out power for a long time. The price and physical size of this crank up radio is great. Every one in earthquake country should have one!
