Reviews
HQ ISSUE 4,000W Gas Generator with Electric Start is rated 4.7273 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good generator Well made, good finish on the product. Starts readily and does what it is supposed-to. This is essentially a re-badging of the Champion 3500-4000 watt generator commonly seen at auto parts stores.... and that's fine. Champion has been around a long time. And that makes parts for it readily available at some future point as well. Two things to note: 1.) This generator does NOT have 240 volt capability. You can easily get deceived looking at the 30 amp 3 prong plug-in. Read the specs before you buy. 2.) They don't stress it enough, but a good break-in procedure is critical on these. I've had great success by running them for 1.5 to 2 hours, changing the oil, then running a full tank of gas through them and changing the oil again. I also put a couple of ounces of Lucas Oil Stabilizer in each oil change after the second one. Do that, and these things will seem to run forever. I've had them last for two years running them 24/7..... just changing the oil about every 300 hours and replacing brushes and the occasional spark plug.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheapo I haven't been able to start the generator because it DID NOT COME WITH A BATTERY. I bought this mainly because of the electric start feature because I have a bad back and can't start one with a pull cord. I don't know what size battery it takes since there is no info on the battery. I am a disabled vet. and it is hard to get around to get a battery for this thing. I guess I should have done more research before I bought the generator. I feel the generator should have been ready to go by just adding oil and gas then just push a button to start. What if an emergency came up and I needed the generator right after it was delivered. What, I call some one over to start it for me using the pull rope? Ya, ok. Thanks.L. Wolfe, U.S.N. Retired.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wow. Was super quiet. Used it this last weekend in camping/rv trip and it kept my typically hot wife cool. The electric start was a nice feature. Would have liked to have had a disclaimer on the site that a $$$ motorcycle battery was required to use the generator. Otherwise it worked better than promised.
