Adds comfort and additional control, while not being so bulky or over-sized like some others that it won't fit in the original holster or gun rug.

They don't fit 100% but that's a variation in a gun not the grip so I learned. The 1911 has some hand made grinding and they all vary slightly.

as advertised but after trying them on I liked the fit of the original grips better.

Great price. On-time shipping. Simple installation. Incredible difference at the range! My MK II bull barrel has never felt so solid! The finger grooves preclude (comfortable) "off" hand use... but this isn't my primary defense sidearm either. If you have default plastic "grips" get this instead!

If I were to tell you anything, it would be this: get these grips! They are fantastic, especially if you are doing any serious target shooting with your Mk II. The grips feel great and the added thumbrest makes the gun super steady. An all-around great purchase!

Controlled-Feed Bolt-Action vs. Push-Feed

Some riflemen (of both sexes) claim a controlled-feed bolt-action is superior to a push-feed. They may be right. Or not. But you have to understand the mechanics of both actions to form an educated opinion of your own.

Rifling Twist Rates & Bullets

We all understand that a rifle barrel has spiral grooves (rifling) in order to impart spin to bullets. This stabilizes them so they fly true, like a well-thrown football. But what's all this talk about twist rates like 10-inch or 1-in 14? What's that all about and how important is it?
