Guide Gear Trailer Side Mount Spare Tire Carrier is rated 4.4186 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Mounted easily. holds the spare strong ( my jack broke and the heavy trailer landed hard on the mounted spare. This didn't even phase the mount).I did have to replace the carrier bolts. The ones supplied were too long and the threads were not 'all-thread'.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well made unit. Fits well and holds spare as advertised. Ad specified that it was galvanized. It is painted and I live on tidal water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesnt fit 5 lug trailer wheel I looked great from the box. Welded it on my trailer to find that no combination of lug bolt holes matched the standard 5 lug wheels on my trailer. I tried both hole combinations and neither matched my standard lug pattern. I 'made do' by using a large washer on the bottom bolt that overlapped the inside of the inner hole on my wheel. I am disappointed, its like they cut the flat section too short and punched the holes too close. No combination matched the bolt pattern, really, I tried. I should have checked the fit before welding on my trailer! But the specs said it would fit standard 4 and 5 lug patterns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could not believe the quality of the tire carrier compared to the low cost to purchase.Easy to install and looks good on my boat trailer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good Only issue mounting bolts to long for my trailer frame, went to hardware store and bought 4 steel sleeve spacers about 1" long, good to go. Mounted easily, strong for 4 bolt wheel, able to use trigger lock laying around for security and thread thru spare hole. Looks great, don't expect any issues. I recommend this item for cost, easy of install and appearance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The tire carrier worked well on my trailer although I did have to buy shorter bolts to mount it with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think the quality of material is of a great standard. This material appears to have good strength and integrity to last for a long time. Thanks

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Each trailer being different, it will have to be modified to work.
