Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Handy I needed something for sighting in my scopes on a collection of ARs and other tactical rifles. This one holds the rifles high enough to keep the magazine in and fire the weapon for a zero shot to set the sights on. This is easier and quicker than using the laser for me. Take three shots and set your sights in the middle and you are done!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average...and ok Quality control still seems to be an issue. However, none of the "issues" are the type to render this rest nonfunctional or a paperweight. A few holes need to be drilled larger ( or - leg holders need rewelded..your choice). The adjustable stock vise is pretty bad.. but usable, and easily modified to work BETTER ( or.. as intended). The Price point is excellent though. And it is a pretty nice setup. Holds my bolt action, semi's, and friends AR and AK as well. I do suggest a simple bungie cord judiciously to help keep rifle from excessive movement. but not EXTREMELY important.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value and price the rest is a solid value. the parts pretty much all line up and fit and the threads on the nuts and bolts fit. It is not precision machined but it works well and it is assembled fairly easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for the price The rear rest that holds the butt of the rifle was not very well built, the V is not eaven and the butt is hard to get level. If you put too much weight in the bags, it will tear the grommets out. This is still a good deal for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the big names The quality of this Guide Gear product is as good or better than some of the so called big named shooting rests I have had in the past and it cost me half as much. I am well pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had trouble with alignment of threaded hole alignments with two of these sites. Had to re drill to allow the threaded screws to align. I did this rather than return. That was sign of poor quality. Have not used yet. Winter is still here. I hope I'm done with the problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shooting Rest Value! This SG rest is strong, well-featured and excellent for sighting-in and general bench work. The rear stock grip and built-in sand bag are great features. The adjustable flat front platform allows me to use my standard shooting bag, as well as the one supplied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Went together in a snap I purchased this primarily to us as a bench rest for working on/cleaning my rifles. After reading some previous reviews and looking at the threaded through holes on the base I decided to use a little Liquid Wrench before I started to put it together. By doing so all the adjusting legs threaded rather easily, had to move them around a bit to find the ones that worked best in each hole. The directions are idiot proof. Is it a "Lead Sled" no. Did it cot $100, no. By using the liquid silicone the adjustment screws adjust smoothly enough. The weld on the nut the holds the "T" handle on the front adjustment cracked so I had to use a little JB Weld but not a big deal since it is not something that needs to tightened more than a light snug anyway which is why 4 stars instead of 5.
