Guide Gear® -15° Fleece lined Sleeping Bag. Goosebump proof. WARM! SAVE BIG BUCKS!

"Not all who wander are lost." Tolkien's famous quote seems to ring true for my younger days when I would throw caution to the wind and stop the car at any nice looking pad of ground or mountain view and unroll the sleeping bag. I probably would have braved it all the way through the night if my bag was rated to -15°F like this baby. Because I deal directly with the maker, the middleman is out. This saves you cash.

Good stuff:

  • Oversized 39 x 90" for plenty of room
  • 7 lbs. fill weight of warm polyester fill insulation
  • Black cozy fleece lining
  • Olive green water-resistant rip-stop outer shell
  • Smooth operating zipper
  • Quilted stitching
  • Heavy-duty compression sack for compact storage. Imported.

Take advantage of all of this warmth and all these features!

Built to Sportsman's Guide's exact specifications, Guide Gear® stands for dependability, long-lasting quality and unmatched value!  Guaranteed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bag for the money but a cheap zipper. A great bag for the money for sure. I've been very impressed with it. Be warned that one of the reason a good garment or bag can be cheaply made is by saving money on the zipper. It has hung up on me 5-6 times this past weekend. But still a great bag for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kept me warm in sub-zero temps! I received this bag as a Christmas gift in preparation of going as a chaperone on my son's Boy Scout winter camping trip. We camped in northern PA this past weekend (January) and the temps dipped to between -5 to -10 degrees below zero at night. I wore just a thermal base layer to bed and was warm the entire night. When I woke up in the mornings, the entire inside of my tent was covered in ice, but I was nice and toasty - well, until I had to unzip the bag to get dressed. I also liked the size of this bag. I typically feel much too constricted in the chest area with a normal width sleeping bag, but this one gave me plenty of room and I was quite comfy. Also, the fleece lining is really soft and cozy. I would highly recommend this bag for cold weather camping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BAG FOR WINTER CAMPING I've had this bag for years and it has held up well. Every year we camp for a week long ice fishing trip in February in the Colorado Rockies. The temps have gotten low as 35 below and sleeping in the overhead bunk of a camper, the mattress is like sleeping on ice. This bag keeps me very comfortable wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I'm 6' 1" 210 and there is plenty of room to move around in it. It holds your body heat so there aren't cold spots when you move your feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zipper all the way around, or just the bottom to stick my feet out - but not because it is not long enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and performance for the price I am a staunch "buy local" person to support my community. However, a fellow Scouter told me about this sleeping bag from Sportsman Guide. I researched bags in local stores and nearby. I could not find a bag with similar specs for the price. I purchased bag and took it with me on a weekend float trip in December. Bag surpassed my expectations!! My "old" bag is a "0" bag but is 15 years old and could not keep me warm as expected. This new bag will be great!
