Guide Gear Extreme Deluxe Hunting Climber Tree Stand is rated 4.3976 out of 5 by 166.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from not very good got this product and assembling was pretty easy. tried it out and the top half will not stay on the tree and keeps falling down either while climbing or when i sit in it. bottom platform is very sturdy but the top half isnt good. will be buying a different tree stand soon. very disappointed and sadly cannot return the stand

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price. This is a great tree stand. A little heavy but other than that great product for a very reasonable price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heavy and clumsy. Harness isn't too hot either. I purchased this tree stand so I could begin hunting from a climbing stand before I spent big money on a "brand name" climber. The price was right, and it appears to be sturdy, after all it is all steel.Because it's all steel, it weighs a ton, and the poor quality shoulder straps dig into your shoulders. It's a better choice if you can leave it in the hunting area or transport the stand via ATV, rather than pack in a significant distance. Once at the tree, it does a decent job of climbing, and it feels comfortable and sturdy. Despite what some reviewers say, I like the seat and think it's comfortable. The included harness is clumsy and difficult to figure out. The included instructions are terrible (for both the harness and the actual stand). I purchased a "vest-style" harness from Sportsman's Guide and am very happy with that. All in all, I think I got what I paid for. I didn't expect the weight or features of a stand costing 5-6 times as much, so it's not too bad. I'll use it, and probably replace it next season with a lighter model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good price frame and cables are good and steady. straps are a bit cheap. overall it's a good buy. I've used it twice so far. The only problem is the foot straps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good basic stand for mid-sized hunters The good: great design, solid construction, decent worksmanship. Holds to the tree like glue, no movement, no noise. The bad: few instructions of any worth, top bar portion a hair too small, Overall weight slightly heavy for long packs. The basic stand is great, however, you must do your part to get it safely up and running. Parts are not adequately dressed, burrs, sharp edges, smoothed off. The cable covering was melted too much to fit inside the square tube, I had to trim with a sharp knife. The straps that came with it are ok if you can figure out which ones go where. The foot strap buckles are metal and work fine if you can reach them to snug them, but they're noisy when they clank on the stand. The seat is well made but padding is sparse. My biggest beef in with the shortness of the top bar. When seated, my knees are right against the bar. You can adjust it by angling the bar up or down (adjusting the tree attachment cable longer or shorter) but the bar simply needs to be lengthened about 2". I'm 5'-9" and 180. Much bigger than me and you might have issues sitting unless you put the bar way below or above the knee point. Not a huge issue, but needs considering. The stand overall is extremely solid and stable, and not uncomfortable given the caveates I mentioned. I detailed several things out to work better, so I'm satisfied. Just know it isn't going to be plug and play. For the price, I can sleep well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from god price Set up was easy, tried on a tree at my house and works good.BUT left it there for 4 days and started some surface rust. I think another 49 cents worth of paint would have been nice in the factory!!So now have to treat the rust and apply heavy paint so I don't have to buy a new one next year.So if you buy one, be sure to apply a few coats of good paint before you use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great First Climber or Second Stand Let's start by saying I'm 5.9, 210 Lbs... This stand is a bit heavy and the shoulder straps that come with are not the most comfy so I don't think this is the right stand to walk around with, so it's good for that second spot we always look for, but is not good if you need to carry it in and out every day.The stand itself it's very study, and somewhat easy to assemble if you have own or know climber cause the instructions are not that clear at points. The sit is pretty comfortable once you get the idea of how to adjust it properly, however there's not much room to move so, make sure you order one of those straps with hooks to have stuff hanging off the tree such as back pack or bow.Overall and for the price is a good stand just as good or as bad as a small hanging stand with the advantage that it can be moved, again it can be moved but not carried comfortably...If you don't own a climber and you already have a stand or you don't know if you'd like a climber this is the stand for you, this inexpensive stand will give you a clear idea of what you really want/need.
