Reviews
Guide Gear Cargo Carrier is rated 4.6133 out of 5 by 181.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good price for the quality of the cargo carrier. Be prepared to do a bit of retro fitting to put the cargo carrier together. I had to drill a 3/8" hole through the main support bar in order to put one of the major bolts in the unit. It didn't take long to do. Then I had to use a carpenter's clamp to encourage the unit to come together square. Be sure to not tighten all of the bolts before every thing is in place. It happened to rain the night after I got the unit put together. Since I had put the unit on the back of my travel trailer after assembling it, it was in the rain all night. The next day I found several spots of rust…after one night. I sprayed the whole thing with a coat of rust resistant paint and now it is better than new! The unit is very surfy and is exactly what I was looking for, other than the do-it-yourself repair and modification steps!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent deal but... Sturdy carrier but the powder coat leaves a lot to be desired. Had to Rustoleum it. Received with some rust & in a week looked like this:

Rated 3 out of 5 by from PRICE IS ALRIGHT FOR WHAT i'M GOING TO USE THIS ITEM FOR The braces are a little weak. The powder coating is not as expected. Upon putting the unit together, the basket doesn't align properly. There was some rust on the inside ends of the basket. Not worth sending it back, Don't know what I'll get in return. Over all average. Quality could be better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad So far it is fairly durable, i went 4 wheeling and it was suck on a rock but there were no damages. Also it rusts easily so i suggest coating it with some rustoleum or something to keep it from rusting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value... Just used my new Guide Gear Cargo Carrier and it's perfect for hauling a little firewood on the back of my Suburban when going camping. I don't need to carry the wood inside or on top any more. It's plenty strong for this use and no doubt I'll use it for a lot of other things in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product fits my needs My cargo carrier arrived promptly, had no defects, and was assembled with all materials present in less than fifteen minutes. I use the carrier to haul hunting items on my Honda Pioneer 700. Two deer have been hauled out of the woods as well. I offered 4 stars instead of 5 only because there is a tad of loose play in my receiver.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price fast shipping Great buy for $49. Has rusted around bolt heads and around welds some after a couple of rains but expected that for $49. Mine went together just fine. I saw were some people had some issues. I guess they fixed the problem.
