The Guide Gear tarp is worth the purchase! Great Material and color! However, I would recommend to reenforce (sew seams) the seams as I have done. I have purchased a few tarps from Sportsman guide and have sewed new seams on them as well! Highly recommend !

Haven't used yet, it went into one of my Bug-out-Bags just for an emergency shelter if needed.

Looks like a nice tarp. Very light weight good for backpacking, haven't had a chance to use it yet still too much snow on the ground.

This is the best tarp I have seen. Strong reinforced straps are preferred over grommets, and there are 15 of them. One strap, right at the center of the tarp, could be attached to a branch, making a teepee in about a minute if you are caught by a sudden storm or nightfall Thick fabric and dark green color for hiding. It even comes with some crummy steel stakes and white cords with tension sliders on them. The only downside is weight--too much of that and you might as well have a small tent.

Quality yet light in weight. Should work well for backpacking.

It can't really be compared to a $70 tarp but at this price it is a great value. Expect import quality and you will not be disappointed. Lowest priced square tarp with sewn loop tie outs anywhere.
