Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't beat the quality for the price! I've always felt that most companies "house brands" are a bit suspect, but this Guide Gear 16' Basic Ladder Tree Stand continues to make the Guide Gear name the exception to the rule in that aspect. These stands are fantastic for the money. You get a nice, wide-step ladder, comfortable seat (with back rest to keep water or other unwanted materials from running down your back as you lean against the tree) comfortable out-of-the-way armrests, a good-sized standing platform and durable no-nonsense construction for way less than the competition is asking. So far I've bought six of these stands this year to replace older stands and to add to the total number on my farm. They've proven to be effective, sturdy, and comfortable every time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little tweaking needed. Overall a great product for the price. The ladder sections of the stand were too tight and required some sanding to fit together correctly. The straps that go around the tree were also a little short and I replaced them with longer ones. Most people will be very satisfied with this ladder stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stand for a great price Very easy to set up, everything was in the box as described. And I have to say, I think it is more comfortable then my ladder I paid over 100.00 for.Worth the price for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stand I purchased a 15' basic stand about three years ago and it is still a good stand. I decided on this one because of the side seat rails and padded seat and back. I was pleasantly surprised of the density and comfort of the seat portion of the cushion especially when I discovered the seat portion of the stand is bars instead of metal mesh that it appeared it would be in the video. Another plus, is metal sleeves that slide over the ladder connection points, giving the ladder more integrity. It took me 45 minutes to assemble. I only had to finish removing two hole punches by simply using a screw driver and it popped right out. All holes lined up. All parts were present. Looking at the picture instructions carefully allows for easy assembly. I am 6'0" and seat to foot platform fits fine. People not as tall may not be as comfortable.
