Guide Gear 14x14' Deluxe Teepee Tent is rated 3.75 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Price, lots of room I sealed the seams as others have said. First day had 20-30 mph winds. The tent stayed up and the sand was keep out by the two doors. The enclosed tent pegs are a joke and am sure happy that I got some heavy ones to take along as the high winds pulled out the little ones that came with the tent. Replace all the 30 stakes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So I have been living in this tent for the last two mouths as my home. The space ampal for me and my two dogs,In the amount of time i have weathered a few storms and the structure holds up well even in gail force winds, I will comment how ever the factory sealed seam are not up to stander, I have came home to 6 inches of water inside my space. Seam seal this tent as soon as it is up. My birthday came and I through a celebration at my place, during this time I had ( friend drinking and hanging out comfortably in the space, How ever the tent may be wonderful but the Customer service of this website has me never making another purchase from this source. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a decent to above average product under the Guide Gear brand. Set the tent up in my back yard the day before a storm was due. Yes this was intentional. I tried to mimic field conditions so I put it on top of the rise, but still under the drip line of a tree. To any buyers, practice your setup before taking camping! If for no other reason to get the door-way aligned so you know where it is before completely unrolling the tent. I managed my first setup by myself, took a break and then tore it down in 90 minutes. Then I set it up again for the long weekend. Now, I didn’t use all 30 stakes but enough for the base ring and all of the main guide ropes. I skipped the ones for the vents this time. So, fast forward three days and the tent was still standing with no adjustments after 20-30mpg winds and rain had run through my area. It had sagged a bit, but the pin stakes were mostly still in the ground. The top of the pole rubber cap was still in place but had risen up on the pin, which meant the tent did billow a bit. This may be worth looking at for a better design or upgrade. The only way was for wind to get in through the side vents, which were intentionally left open. All of the guide ropes adjusters needed tightening. BTW the same issue the military canvas tents of this style have. There were a few water drips from the main pole and top vent so the wind must have driven the rain up and under it. The windward side vents leaked some as well. The velco and ties did hold fast on the windward sides, and the outer entrance seals seeped a bit. Except for the entrance, a medium towel was able to sop up the water though it was dripping when done. All in all I was happy that I could weather what I consider a medium storm in this tent during a hunting or general camping trip.Pros:The tent comes in its own carry bag that is larger than needed! So many times, one cannot get the tents back into the carry bag after a single setup. The bottom fabric is a bit thicker than my 3-man tent and seems to be about the thickness of a heavy plastic tarp so, unless one happens to have a large painter's tarp lying around, there is no real need for an extra layer underneath. Just clear your area of pointy objects. The guide ropes are thicker than I anticipated. They are larger then the white twisted chord but a bit smaller than para chord but as strong of construction, think round boot lacing. It will take a lot of force to snap these!Setup was straight forward as I have worked with this style of tent while in the military. I liked the little rubber cap to keep the tent from billowing in the wind. But it needs help.Lots of room on the inside! It even came with a small white divider that hooks into the tent at the mid point. It is tall! 9ft means head room for even a 6ft+ tall person. The Velcro and zippers are both sewn in and sealed so should last the life of the tent as long as one cleans after each use.Cons or FYI’s:There are no directions! What was provided was a single sheet describing a basic setup. The sheet described parts but there is no parts diagram. This is so inadequate that a non-experienced purchaser could take hours figuring out how to erect the tent. SG... YOU NEED to fix this! Secondly, have the directions sewn or glued into the bag. Cmon now, one piece of paper will blow away. It did it to me and if not for my chain link fence it would have made it to the next county. The fabric as stated is a bit confusing since it doesn't give one a clear sense of how thick or thin the fabric of the tent will be. And forget looking the term up on the net. The floor is thicker than average but the sides are a bit translucent during the day. A bright lite at night (Lantern) did show a mild silhouette when my friend walked around inside it. But the little LED lites did not.The thin stakes are not rugged enough and easily bend or spin in the wind. If the manufacturer won’t provide heavier duty stakes, the SG should offer a kit of either the larger spike or military V type stakes as a suggested purchase or upgrade. There is no hangar for an LED lantern that I saw. One could use the clip on the pole for the divider as a hangar, and that would be a nice accessory. It is a 3 season tent. This could easily be made into a four season tent with thicker side and bottom material and a proper stove pipe vent about ½ ways up the slope. The entire rig IS already bulky and heavy though. This is not a tent to plan on packing unless you have a pack horse. It is definitely a vehicle camping style tent.Pay attention to your outside clearances. You need 10-12 ft vertical to clear the top and at least 20x20ft ground area so you can get the stakes into the ground and not tie onto threes or bushes. I’d recommend more like a 30x30ft area.Buy some orange tape to mark you guidelines as you will trip on them in the dark, even with a flashlight.Sincerely, Robert S (Curlyjoe_99) in Texas

Rated 2 out of 5 by from LEAKS! BOTH TENTS LEAK! Leaks, despite the ad saying 3 times that this tent is _water proof_. Ordered this tent put it up and waited for rain. Tent leaked in 14 places, missing 2 ropes and of course the stakes are garbage. Like always SG customer support is awesome and they exchange the tent without question. Second tent leaks in 4 places and is missing 2 ropes. Used seam sealer on the second tent and got it water tight. Great and unique design but Manufacture problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For the most part I am happy with the product, but the first time I took it down, one of the tent peg loops tore and I will need to get it sewn for it to be repaired,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very thin material. Some window and door ties not sown in. Should have come with better stakes and more of them. I don't think this tent will hold up very long. I will buy one I can look at next time. What is "Average" these days. Average Chinese made, I guess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from we received this teepee tent a few days before going on a weekend camping trip. we didn't get a chance to put it up before we left, so were skeptical about erecting it. however it was super simple, no glitches at all. stretch out floor, insert the pole inside the middle and erect the tent; then stake out guy wires and you are pretty much ready to move your gear inside. the entryway was awesome too. everyone camping in the area were amazed at roominess inside. kids loved it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit complex to pitch and the stakes are too small. I bought some Army stakes and extended the stake loops with 550 cord and it worked well then. I'm not a novice, I taught technical climbing and backpacking for 15 years.
