Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best option over using an original! I have been reenacting for many years now, and collecting original military antiques even longer. The German WWII Gasmask Canister was one of "those" items that I knew no one in their right mind would ever make an affordable reproduction of. Would have to settle with using an original or nothing at all. Enter STURM!The reproduction canister is VERY close to the original. The reproduction straps are a bit thin, but will get the job done. Worst case you can replace the straps with post-war straps and the problem is solved. I will include side by side photo's of original and reproduction for comparison. Now you can put your original back in your collection and take this wonderful reproduction to events. Enjoy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gawd-awful waste of time and money. I ordered three for various purposes and two were completely unusable. The tops were crushed down and smashed in and thus inoperable. One was severely dented and the retaining strap on the other was torn loose at the clip. These showed up in worse shape than battlefield relics and are supposed to be brand new. Of the one that did arrive intact, there were no gaskets or sealers and the inner box springs open on its own accord.
