Rated 4 out of 5 by from GOOD PRODUCT THAT COULD BE GREAT I had read all the reviews complaining of these items being hard to fit, but had no trouble fitting them to synthetic stocks by Bell & Carson and SpeedFeed on a Garand and a riot 870. The folded strap you'll find stuck in the middle of the pouch is the heel strap, which arrests the pouch from sliding forward on the stock. The three strips which wrap under the toe-line of the stock are not fixed in place and do not require any cutting nor sewing. They can be peeled off the inside of the pouch and repositioned so that the junction between the hook portion and the loop portion is right were they fold around the buckle, so that the tail of the strap is uniform in length and can be tucked under the right side of the pouch. If this sounds too complicated, I can try to post a video of the process. You can fit these in less than five minutes each. I removed the shell loop strips from the pouch I put on my Garand and found that two clips of M72 will (barely) fit into the pouch portion, and that the cheekrest portion works very well with a low mounted scout scope and with the irons. The shotgun version carries a total of ten extra rounds for my daily-carry 870 and still lets it fit in my patrol unit's rack. The only improvements I would want on these items would be a slight increase in pouch capacity and a longer zipper to facilitate better access to the pouch. I can squeeze two Garand clips into mine, but I have to orient one of them opposite to the way I would like it to be. On the shotgun version, the frontmost shell in the loop-strip inside the pouch is difficult to get in & out, and that's not a good thing with a working combat gun. This 870 has an extended nine-round magazine, a six-round sidesaddle and a rail and optic, so I was worried that this item would make it unwieldy (after all this is a total of 25 rounds in & on this gun) but while using this configuration on an extended on-foot call in South Texas heat, it didn't cause any portability or handling problems.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good idea, bad execution I bought the black one and .This has no instructions, no pictures and most of the internet pictures show the carrier upside down and not on a firearm. This carrier is a really great idea but the work done at the factory is really bad. The straps have loop velcro on the last 3 inches or so but up to that point it is hook velcro on the same side. The hook velcro does not go far enough up the strap to stick securely on the large piece of loop velcro. The large piece of loop velcro does not extend all the way to the bottom of the stock so nothing can stick there. If you run the 3 straps on the outside, the shot card won't stick but if the shot card is already stuck on there is no where to stick the straps. If you try to stick the straps inside, they won't stick because the end of the strap is loop and the inside of the carrier is also loop and besides that the velcro is on the wrong side. I will have to sew and replace the straps' loop velcro with hook velcro so the straps can stick to the large piece and then sew loop velcro on the opposite side of the straps to stick the shot card to or I will have to sew on hook velcro to the straps and just stick them down to the big piece and not use the outside shot card; instead just use the inside shot card. I will also have to shorten the straps and sew the ends as they are too long. The velcro is all backwards. This should have been corrected at the factory. It will be a usable carrier once I buy several dollars worth of velcro and sew it on. Save your money and pass on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cheek rest! Product is very well made and is very easy to adjust for a perfect fit. I have these on two of my long range rifles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from confused Completely confused. Padding is sown into the ammo carrier/pocket side of the check rest, but the "cheek" side of the cheek rest has no padding what so ever. This was a complete waste of money. Fortunately it was only $14. For years this product has also been shown in the catalogs and online attached to the buttstock upside down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very handy and secure this is my second order of this product. after adding one to my slug gun, I bought one to attach to my lever action 444 Marlin. Easy to adjust and elevates my head a little higher off the stock which is more comfortable when using a scope. Padding helps to absorb recoil as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junk Quality seems to fine, but it will not fit any shotgun I own as the straps are way to long and not adjustable to fit the stock. Tried it on a Mossberg SPX Tactical, Remington 870 and 887 Nitro Mag. Can't imagine this will fit any stock due to how bad the design is. Great idea, very, very poor execution. There is no way to even Jerry Rig the thing to fit the stock unless I wanted to start cutting straps off, moving and shortening the straps and then sewing them back on.I am very disappointed that this product would leave the shelves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good rest/poor shell holder I purchased two of these for different rifles. They fit great on the stocks. the down side is the shell holders. If you plan on using your rifle at all while walking you need to put your shells in the zipper pouch. The shells fall out way to easily and you want know it until it is too late. Bench shooting the shell holders are fine. Just don't walk around with them on the outside of the cheek rest as pictured.
