Calling Alll Geese, Batteries Not Included

Over the far line of trees shading the horizon, perhaps 10,000- to 15,000 geese rose from a nearby field. We couldn't see them clearly, but we answered with our own boisterous cackling. Only a slight tinny sound with not quite the volume distinguished our calls from the incessant noise of the swirling white cloud. For about four hours, waves of the feathery white tornado swirled over our heads as the blaring, tinny box echoed its tempting call. Yes, electronic calls do work!
