THESE DPMS FORENDS ARE NICE. SIMPLE. WELL MADE IN THE USA. GREAT FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT BUILD. PRICE WAS VERY GOOD. PEOPLE BELITTLE DPMS, BUT I HAVE BEEN USING THEIR PARTS FOR YEARS WITH NO REAL COMPLAINT. ALSO, I KNOW THERE ARE MANY COMMERCIAL AR15 BUILDERS WHO USE DPMS PARTS, LIKE LPK'S, EXCLUSIVELY. NO COMPLAINTS HERE.

I've used DPMS parts for several years now and I have never been disappointed the quality or function of them. This free float forearm is another quality part from DPMS. Quality and fit are excellent and the price was great. If you need one don't hesitate, buy one.

Controlled-Feed Bolt-Action vs. Push-Feed

Some riflemen (of both sexes) claim a controlled-feed bolt-action is superior to a push-feed. They may be right. Or not. But you have to understand the mechanics of both actions to form an educated opinion of your own.

Rifling Twist Rates & Bullets

We all understand that a rifle barrel has spiral grooves (rifling) in order to impart spin to bullets. This stabilizes them so they fly true, like a well-thrown football. But what's all this talk about twist rates like 10-inch or 1-in 14? What's that all about and how important is it?
