Daiwa Goldcast Spincast Reel is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hands on? This was my third goldcast reel. The first two were very sturdy ,high quality reels. This one was not, when I went to mount the reel , the handle fell off while I was holding reel in my hand. The reel fell to the ground ,denting reel. When I inspected reel,I found mounting screw broken.I will be sending this back for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to get used to, but I like it! The thumb release is a lot higher and at a different angle than the Zebcos that I usually use. At first it feels a little awkward when casting. By the end of the day I decided I really liked it. The drag adjustment is much better than the Zebcos I have.. It is really fast at reeling in, so lots of fun using top water lures. A little hard to get used to, but I like it!
