World War II Stamp Collection. Set of 7 commemorates military heroes in a tribute to immeasurable courage.

Includes the 3-cent Iwo Jima stamp, controversial since, when issued in 1945, it showcased living people. Nevertheless, it became one of the most popular stamps of the decade. Set of 7 also includes the 3-cent Win the War stamp issued in 1942. One of just 3 issues that year, it features an eagle shaped in a "V" (for victory.)

Also includes the 1-cent 1945 FDR Hyde Park Residence stamp, the 1945 3-cent U.S. Navy Seamen stamp, the 1971 6-cent General MacArthur stamp, the 1946 3-cent Merchant Marine stamp, and the 1953 3-cent General George Patton stamp. Set is housed in a stately 6 x 4 x 1/8" black vinyl portfolio and includes a certificate of authenticity. Weighs 4 ozs.
