Chuck Yeager called him, "a mongoose... the best fighter pilot I've ever seen." As a triple ace in the European theater in WWII Bud Anderson left his mark with 16 1 / 4 confirmed kills plus one more aircraft destroyed on the ground over 116 missions.

After the war he went on to become one of the most fearless test pilots in the world. This black-and-white photograph features a Anderson's P-51 Mustang "Old Crow,". Hand-signed by Col. Anderson, this is a keepsake you'll look to with pride time and time again.

Mercury Aurora Photograph captures Astronaut Scott Carpenter in his moment of truth... hand - signed!

One of the first men into space captured on film. As one of the original seven astronauts selected in 1959 for Project Mercury, Malcolm Scott Carpenter (born May 1, 1925) was the second American to orbit the earth and the fourth American in space, following Alan Shepard, Gus Grissom, and John Glenn.

After being chosen for Project Mercury in 1959, Carpenter served as backup pilot for John Glenn, who flew the first U.S. orbital mission aboard Friendship 7.

Carpenter and his Aurora 7 capsule flew into space on May 24, 1962, atop the Mercury-Atlas 7 rocket for a three-orbit science mission that lasted nearly five hours. The mission attained a maximum altitude of 164 miles and an orbital velocity of 17,532 miles per hour.
