Reviews
CASTLECREEK Compost Tumbler is rated 1.9688 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Could be made with stronger material that doesn't sag when filled Assembly was fairly basic with one exception; when completely assembled, the sliding doors would cave in on themselves and they would fall off. I drilled new holes on the top and bottom of the doors and added conduit holders to the horizontal bars to facilitate sliding. There are a number of different ways to do this, but I just used what was on hand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought 3 gave 2 to family as gifts good solid tumbler for the price and am sure it will perform as more expensive ones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product It is a good value for what it is, but be careful not to overload it. The compost container could be a little more supported.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Castlecreek Compost Tumbler Barrel appears to be plastic covered corrugated cardboard. Serious doubts that it will survive outside very long. Disappointed. NOT a good value at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very poor design. not easily put together. already has holes that will leak.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Picture in the Ad looks better than the actual Product This rating might be too high. I was expecting a more rugged product. I was surprised it was made out of black plastic coated with who knows what. The screw holes were too small and I had to drill them out a little to make then seat. I broke a drill bit in the process. The doors have two washers placed perfectly to interfere with the doors closing. I have to use a rubber mallet to get the doors closed completely. To keep them closed I placed a wire loop through the holes on each door. See photo. I have my composter almost full but it doesn't seem to be doing much composting. It should have come with better instructions for assembly and use. How much water can you put into it. What other things can you use to assist in getting it to compost better? You really need to have at least two people to assemble as you need a third hand from time to time. My brother helped me. It took about 3 to 4 hours to assemble the product due to some parts not fitting properly and poor assembly instructions. How long this will hold up? Your guess is as good as mine. See picture of finished product in use. I believe this item is over priced. It should not sell for more than $30 in the condition it was sent out to the customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from decent price, lousy product I bought the castle creek compost tumbler about a year ago to move away from my old fashioned one made of two-by-fours and chicken wire that I would need to continually mix. The pictures looked okay, but surprised by how cheaply this product looked. Mine did not even come with directions on how to assemble. It's on a pile to be ready to head to the dump.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Up To SG Standards I received shipment of the Compost Tumbler on 3/16/2014. I assembled the unit and put it right to work. The doors were difficult for my wife and I to open and close. Tumbling the unit was difficult at best. Over time the barrel began to sag and got more and more difficult to tumble. Long story short...we emptied the tumbler, disassembled it and put it out for the trash man in October.
