Rated 4 out of 5 by from We tried others, but yours is the best for the price Over many years, we keep buying these Castlecreek Umbrellas. We live on a lake in NH and the winds are sometimes strong. Other umbrellas failed miserably as the air could not escape through the top. The Castlecreek is well engineered. There were troubles in the past. Color fading out of control, the wooden pole coming apart. No problems for a handyman. Now we have two for a little more that $ 100.- An Awning for our patio would easily cost close to 1,000.- dollars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Price- The fabric and struts appear to be well made. I felt the threads to connect the bottom part of post was flimsy and easy to cross thread if not careful. The diameter of the post is slightly larger than the largest umbrella stand opening and required me to sand it down so the post would seat properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful little investment and reasonably priced I purchased a similar one several years ago, perhaps more. Only reason why I replaced it was the lower wooden dowel broke from strong winds. This one is just if not nicer looking. BEWARE, this is an oversized dowel rod and might not fit in some bases. Only other criticism is the prior version had a flat spot carved in the base and a 5-6 inch of aluminum screwed in to prevent the screwing nut in the supporting metal base from gouging and weakening the rod when properly secured. Wife loves it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Value and Quality for the Price...! I have used CastleCreek umbrellas for close to 10 years now... and you cannot find a 10' umbrella anywhere for less than $200! Yes, I do store it away in the off season and use care... we've strung some low level lights too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Castlecreek 10' Market Umbrella Recently I purchased a Castlecreek umbrella through Sportsman Guild. What a greet addition to our patio. The 10' diameter umbrella gives us plenty of shade. The crank up feature is easy enough even for my wife to use .I was a little leary about this feature, because its just another thing to break down eventually ,but so far no problems. The umbrella looks great & seems to be built pretty rugged. When the sun is high in the sky,it provides enough shade for a table for six.Because the umbrella is 10' across, and so big , the center support pole is bigger around also,so I had to remove the plastic ring from my table where the umbrella goes through.Thinking that the movement caused by the wind, the umbrella pole would sooner or latter be all scratched up, or , the glass table top may chip or even break, I put a couple of wraps of heavy duty rubber electrical tape around the pole at exactly the place of contact . You dont even notice the tape & it absorbs the friction of the movement caused by the wind. I have noticed that the hole in the tables of some of my friends dont have the extra plastic ring in their tables & the hole would be to small around to accommidate the larger pole on this umbrella. Also , I own 2 different cast iron umbrella stands , they also are to small around to use with this umbella . But it works out fine for us & my wife & I both love it , & I think most others would to if it would fit their table or stand. Great price & value for 60 bucks Good luck & enjoy!
