Reviews
Carson Digital Night Vision Monocular is rated 4.375 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Night Vision Intro Used immediately without need for instruction. Very sharp B & W image. Viewed raccoon in bushes @ ~100 yds with moonlight. Best use for distance will be other sources (natural) infrared lighting. Best use personally are near image observation like during power outage, or campsite maneuvering after fire has extinguished. Have learned that surfaces hit by infrared are exposed so visability through a window is not viable. Great product. Great fun.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from you get what you pay for this was my initial foray into night vision technology, so the low price along with the compact size attracted me. caveat emptor. there is virtually no image without the i.r. illuminator switched on, and even then the range is 10 yards at best. outdoors it is of little use other than to display one's path. indoors it illuminates a room well, but there isnt much value in that. spend a little extra on a different product. it will be worth it in the long run.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product was not what I expected it to be. I reordered and have since received a Firefield Mono night vision scope and I am very pleaded with that product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does work; but only with the infrared light on. Display is fine. I like it. It starts up with infrared LED "ON". I can see my red laser dot fine with it. I haven't tried to detect other "distant" infrared light sources with it yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice clarity, being black and white. The lower cost green night vision cant compare. If you want a sharp image that is not more than 50 ft. This is worth the $$. Nice that it is pocket sized.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This one was sufficiently low-priced to justify giving it a try, as I wanted to try the newer black-and-white technology. It is a tiny thing, smaller than a pack of cigarettes, but easy to manipulate in the dark. I've not yet had enough experience with it to say if it's any better with ambient/available light, but with the IR illuminator turned on, it's much better. Focus is sharper and the image is much brighter. The IR seems to have better range, as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product for short distance (max of 50'). Has horizontal line distortion, but tolerable. Compact size is excellent.
