Rated 4 out of 5 by from great bow not so great arrows the crossbow is awesome so is the scope you sight it in at 20yds the rest is done for you. The arrows however have the knocks glued in wrong,so the string doesn't catch the arrow and results in a dry fire.I had 2 of the 3 arrows had the half moon knock glued in sideways, but I had good luck with the after market arrows(Victory arrows) worked best, they pulled out of "the block" better than 3 other brands. ps.check half moon knocks on all arrows before shooting the bow

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I added the Barnett cocking crank immediately. This crossbow shoots very flat and fast so shots on the target out to 80 yards (this is my sighted in range, so far) are dead on shot after shot. This is an extreme upgrade from my Barnett Wildcat C5 that I killed my bull Elk with in WY earlier this year. I will hopefully harvest my whitetail in WI with my new Ghost 410 yet this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Follow up after some more testing. Following up on my last review. Had it out today. Taking some longer practice shots from 30 to 60 yards. Unfortunately my shooting time was cut short when the cocking rope moved on me then caught and broke the plastic arrow retention spring. Good thing they send you a spare, but the biggest problem was you have to pull your scope and scope mount off to replace it. If that is not bad enough, having to sight it in all over again, they had used the wrong kind of locktite on the screws and they would not come out. I actually twisted the allen wrench until it broke. Heating it up did not help. So I had to drill out the 8-32 screws, go buy some replacements, put it all together, and sight it in again.I'm wondering if the crank cocking device option would be better to use than rope pulling. If this happened in the field, I'd be extremely upset.Needless to say, I also just ordered up 3 more spare retention springs. Now I know why they sell it with a spare.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Likes and dislikes Finally got my crossbow. 1st off, let's tell you what came in the box, since the description really does not tell you about all the extras. 3 - 22" bolts with field tips; rubber butt plate you can put on that adds about 1" (needed); carrying strap (wish I knew that, since I ordered one too); basic cocking rope; string wax; spare bolt retention spring; quiver, and everything you see in the picture.I added Bowjax limb dampeners right after the 1st shot. No string dampeners, they would cause me to loose about 4fps. As everyone will tell you, this thing is fast. I own a 350fps bow, but this just buried the arrow. Can't wait to test it out on some distant shots. PS: DO NOT place your limb dampeners near the outer edge near the cams. 3-1/2" or further away. Mine are about 1" from the inside. You do not want to screw up the tuning of your limbs to cams.I like the scope, needed some tweaking, square it up, move it up, and sight it in. Again, 25yrds is all I shot, so I'm looking to see how it is for longer distances.Thickness of the butt stock was just right, no need for a cheek pad. The whole bow is mostly composite material, which is good when out hunting and you don't want some little twig to twang on metal.Did not care for how much pressure on the cables going through the serving (or as they call it 'the flight track'). I can see I might as well order up a spare set now. They're going to wear from rubbing. If Barnett would have engineered this better, maybe you'd be up to 450fps. I would also recommend some Excalibur serving wax to help reduce wear.Although milled for a tight fit, attaching the limps to the server and stock is held by a single bolt. Prior to tightening the bolt down, there was more slop than I cared for. But after tightening it down, it seemed to be real solid. I added some locktite to the threads as well. Like anything, movement will affect accuracy. The safety was a bit noisier than other crossbows. But with 410fps, you don't need to be that close to your target for them to hear it. I do like the anti dry firing feature. Just be sure to really pull that string up and set the safety. I found people will stop after the first click when cocking. The safety is not set and you can fire it.Speaking of noise, I mentioned I put on the Bowjax, but I'm also considering a solution for string dampeners. I wish there was an equivalent to the Bowjax Tenpoint system with string dampening. There just is no real good way I see to retrofit a commercially available system. I really do like the Bowjax, too bad. Maybe in Barnett's next design. Face it, all crossbows are noisy in comparison to traditional bows and compound bows, that's why speed is the equalizing factor.Which now gets me to weight. It definitely is front heavy. Not as well balanced as other units I have tried. Overall weight is average before add-ons.Arrows, or bolts, are 22-inch. Don't know why, but it seems to be more difficult to find 22" on sale compared to the 18" & 20".I guess there are more things I did not like on the design than liked, but overall, still a great bow. It fitted better than a lot others out there. I bought this for one reason: SPEED It definitely delivers on that. Next week we'll find out how it is in the field. Just wish my broad heads were not back ordered. Have to use my other ones that aren't quite what I would use with a 410fps bolt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG!! What a crossbow!! Anyone who hunts with a crossbow needs to own one of these!! It is so fast, the deer couldn't duck the string if they wanted to!! It is by far one of the best investments I've ever made into my hunting arsenal!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ghost 410 is awesome...very fast and accurate.I recommend the Red Hot Roller Rope Cocker to go with it. It makes the 410 much easier to cock.Keep the string and cables waxed and you won't have any problems.
