Details & Specs

Atwood® Hydraulic Surge Drum Brake Actuator stops the unwanted "stops!"

Take unpredictable braking out of the equation with the Brake Actuator from Atwood®! All the benefits of using an electric actuator, plus compact, lightweight, and resistant to water damage.

The Actuator's innovative design compensates for pressure applied to the ball hitch, meaning the brakes won't engage during maneuvering. Backing up on soft ground, up a hill, or down a shallow launch has never been easier or more hassle-free!

The goods:
  • 6,000 lbs. SAE-rated capacity
  • High-strength stamped steel construction meets or exceeds industry-standard SAE J684
  • Brake lockout lever prevents the brakes from being applied while backing up
  • Breakaway cord sets and locks the brakes in the unlikely scenario of vehicle / trailer separation
  • Accommodates equalizing hitches
  • Completely repairable, even in the field
  • For 2" ball hitch, drum brake-equipped trailers.
