American Coin TreasuresTM First & Last Buffalo Nickels Coin Collection celebrates the birth and death of the Buffalo nickel.

Sculptor James Earle Fraser designed the Buffalo nickel as part of a push to beautify U.S. currency. Included in this Set are 2 Buffalo nickels: 1 from 1913, the first year it was minted and 1 from 1938, the last year it was minted. Finishing the Collection is a sealed acrylic case that holds and protects both coins. Certificate of Authenticity on the reverse.

American Coin Treasures® "10 Years of Buffalo Nickels" Wood Frame 10 - Pc. Display.

Considered the most distinctly American of all U.S. coin designs, the Buffalo Nickel celebrates our country's westward expansion. Famed artist Earle Fraser used a composite American Indian profile to create the obverse, and depicted the docile bison Black Diamond, famous denizen of the Central Park Zoo, on the reverse. The coin was only minted from 1913 to 1938, and even today remains a nostalgic favorite.

American Coin Treasure's collection includes 10 of these Buffalo Nickels from the years 1925-1937 (excluding 1931, 1932, and 1933). The coins come beautifully displayed in a rich genuine wood frame, with a description of the Buffalo Nickel's unique history, as well as a certificate of authenticity.
