Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mounting system for my M31/98 1940 Turkish Mauser I bought this rifle years ago for a knock around truck gun. At age 70 my eyes are notup to the original open sites that the Germans provided the Turks on the new 98barrels. The only problem I encountered was that the 1" rings in the sealed buble packkit were missing two of the 10-40 socket head screws that hold the rings on the scope. I contacted Aim Sports,Inc. in Ontario, Ca. and told there customer servicerepresentitive about the shortage in the sealed package, and they said that they wouldeither send me the screws or a complete set of new rings.I placed my bore laser site light in the barrel and andjusted the hardware on the railmount first like you are supposed to and was within 1.5" of the red dot without touching any of the scope adjustments. If you do not use some kind of thread lockeror staking to keep the screw snuged up, they will come loose after firing 50 or morerounds 150-200gr 8MM ammo. Do not try to accomplish this by over tighting the screws. William Darling, shooter for 55 years, NRA LIfe member.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD LONG EYE RELIEF SCOPE & GREAT PRICE This is a good bang for the buck (pardon the pun). I purshased one of these long eye relief scopes for my Monsin Nagant couple years ago and it takes all the recoil of the 7.62x54R round and doesen't loose it's zero. Incidently, if you mount this on a Mosin it's best to soft epoxy the picatinny rail to the rear leaf sight mount or the mount comes loose (even with lock tight on the set screws) after a few shots.I shoot a lot of bench target rifles and needed another long eye relief for my Mini-14 with a folding tactical stock after I removed the Leupold scope from the Mini to put it on my M1A (M14). I had no reservation in getting another one of the AIMs long eye relief scopes to serve as a replacement scope for the Mini. I also have one of these on my Mauser K98 and it takes the 8mm recoil and sights well without shifting. In my opinion you don't need a very expensive scope for bench shooting where your are probably shooting in good to fair weather under controlled conditions. Why spend big bucks on a high end nitrogen filled anti-fog weather resistent scope when you can save your money for more ammo! Now hunting is a different activity than bench target shooting. There I will buy the best scope I can afford for reliability in harsh conditions (or "competitive target shoots). I always have had good experience with AIMs scopes and they don't break the pocket book. Happy Shooting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The mount is made strong and works great instead of trying to see those old sights. It made it easier to shot and hit something. I tried to look for a better scout scope, but you don't carry one. I will be buying your scope mount drill jig next. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scope mount was fine but the scope was defective. After mounting as per instructions I was unable to adjust the elevation to zero.Windage was fine. I then installed a scope from one of my Mosin Nagant M91-30 rifles which uses the same scope in their scope kit. I was then able to zero my Mauser within 4 shots. On Monday April 7th I contacted customer service to inform them of the defect.I spoke to a very nice lady who instructed me how to return the bad scope.Awaiting replacement scope Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I truly am so excited to see how accurately my old K98 will shoot. I have always hated the sights that are on a K98. I could hit what I wanted but I need a better experience when I shoot. I guess this brings this old war horse back to a better shooting gun. I will also use it to teach because I am a NRA Certified Rifle and Pistol Instructor.
