.50 cal. Kentucky Rifle Kit is rated 4.4167 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent learning device This kit went together smoothly and in a minimum of time. The wood was easy to sand and the metal parts fit together with a minimum of effort. The Kentucky Rifle kit is beautiful when completed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5 Stars for Kit; 3 for Sportsmans. Nice price. Slow to send(over a week-usually much faster). Poorly packed, packaging damaged in shipping(this has always been a problem).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The kit was here super fast, all in great shape. It looks really nice, I have already opened the package and started sanding and fitting everything. It looks like it is going to be a lot of fun to build. Thank-you Sportsmans Guide.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looking though the blister pack, I can say this so far: The kit looks good and will make a good project. However, it looks like it will take more sanding/shaping than I had anticipated to match the contours of the stock with the brass butt stock trim. I'm weary of the trigger guard; due to others having issues with this part, and, there being visible defects in the metal that may make it weaker and require much care to avoid breakage. I expect to have to get a replacement part from Traditions.

LHR Sporting Arms® RedemptionTM .50 Cal. Black Powder Rifle is a serious hunting muzzleloader. DISCOUNT PRICE!

Classic black powder meets modern accuracy! Ready to strike with precision bull|'s eyes! Shoulder this smoke pole for excellent take-down performance and hair-splitting accuracy.

Premium Cloverleaf Barrel™ from Green Mountain Rifle Barrels®, innovative low-clearance Stealth Striker™ system, and clean, crisp FT2TM trigger come together with 80 years of LHR Sporting Arms® excellence to deliver unmatched performance for a price that won't leave the modern black powder shooter out in the cold.

Check out the "tech" behind this old-fashioned powerhouse:

  • Adapt™ Breech System is the first of its kind. The 209 primer adapter eliminates the need for threading inside the barrel which is the leading cause of seizing breech plugs. Adapt™ also allows you the ability to change out your 209 primer adapter to different configurations. This will optimize ignition performance with your propellant of choice.
  • Armornite™ Corrosion Protectant - Most protective coatings on the market protect the outside of your rifle but what do they do for the inside? Armornite™ is a nitride protectant that covers and protects every inch of the barrel and critical components. This gives you protection and accuracy that's built for a lifetime, not for a season.
  • Stealth Striker - Hammers are noisy and hard to reach with a scope. The innovative Stealth Striker™ system is quiet, easy to use and gives the best clearance for scopes. Slide it forward until it locks and shoot, that's it! No more fumbling to take your hands out of your gloves. The Stealth Striker™ also has an easy-to-use decocking button in the event you choose not to shoot.
  • Cloverleaf Barrels by Green Mountain Rifle Barrels are accurate out of the box and our Armornite coating protects the internal bore from long term damage that affects accuracy. Each Cloverleaf Barrel is carefully inspected to meet our exact standards and gives you the peace of mind your rifle will be ready to perform.
  • FT2 Match Trigger - Crisp, consistent and light are crucial and essential to your accuracy. The FT2 Match Trigger is just that, its light pull and zero overtravel will make you a better, more confident shooter.
  • Innovative Multi-Tool - The Redemption rifle includes the innovative Multi-Tool, the first tool included with a rifle that is not only a wrench, but also a cleaning and loading tool.
  • Tool-free Barrel Removal for easy cleaning.
  • Williams Fiber Optic Metal Sights for low-light conditions.
  • Forend Takedown Screw doubles as a sling swivel stud.
Specs:
  • Barrel length: 24"
  • Rate of twist: 1:28"
  • Length of pull: 13 1/2"
  • Weighs 7 lbs. Proudly made in the USA.
