Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stock Up! I have determined I am not going to suffer from "20/20 HIndsight" and say "I wish I would have bought a lot more ammo when it was plentiful and cheap" as I have in the past (i.e. .30-06 w/ clips for my Garand . . .); this ammo is a great deal, as are the weapons that shoot it. This ammo shoots a little dirty, but a small price to pay for hours of inexpensive shooting fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price - good ammo. I have purchased east-block surplus ammo from SG for several years and have never been disappointed. Yes, corrosive primers are used, but if the barrel is cleaned well there should not be any problems. I use the ammo in my Mosin Nagant M44, and it is dependable, powerful and cheap. I usually shoot at an open range and there are no problems using steel core bullets, but some closed ranges do not premit them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As expected Cheapest priced ammo I can find, so I'm happy. Fed Ex driver arrived a day late, but said I was not home, so UPS would be a better option for this company, and shipping was free for two spam cans, but $13.99 for three can...even with free shipping code. I may have missed something with the free shipping code, but over all I'm a happy camper. I ordered several time from Sportsman and recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What else can you expect? 7.62x54R sealed surplus ammo what can you expect? Last year when I made my order it came with a can opener. This time it did not. I wouldn't have bought this however without the free shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still almost 3x cheaper than winchester, Buy up! Got 1 440rd spam can, all the cartridges look in good condition. Tip for those writing bad reviews over not getting a can opener... The 5mm lip on top of the spam can, you can grind it down with angle grinder abrasive wheel about half way (carefully!, stop when it gets hot!) or just find some concrete like the sidewalk and slide the box back and forth with lip facing down. After a few mm's removed the seals will open, use a screw driver and pop the lid the rest of the way, happy shooting. I plan to purchase more while this is still available, recommended you buy up while you still can!
