Have not used them yet, but they look like they will do the job. I should not be bothered by mosquitos or bees this summer.

have not used them yet but I think they will be great over my Boonie hat when I go camping in the back woods. Appear to be a nice quality

Need them when my wife, my son, and I go trout fishing in Maine (early June black flies). They seem well made a tight knit enough to ward off the pesky flies.

They seem ok, its still cool enough that there are very few bugs out right now (just the way I like it) but when it gets to be consistently 70's to 90's I'll know how well these work, especially out by the rivers.

Camping 101: Camp Repair: All Sewn Up!

While a good bolt or a stout glob of glue goes a long way in fixing what's broken, there comes a time when strong stitching can bring a failed piece of camp gear back into service again. However, a good camp sewing kit goes beyond a few spools of cotton thread, a few buttons and a needle.

Camping 101: The Advantages Of Pocket Handwarmers

Remember the old Jon-e Handwarmer? It was a silvery rectangular canister carried in a red flannel pouch. You filled it with lighter fluid and held a match to the felt-like wick that was exposed when you pulled the two halves of the metal container apart. Thanks to modern science, there are now other cheaper, smaller and lighter means of producing a sustainable amount of "carry along" heat. Here's the scoop on pocket handwarmers.

Camping 101: Camping Sinks Are Convenient

It's finally happened, my basic camping gear includes the proverbial kitchen sink! Today's technology enables me to carry a foldable, completely functional sink in with my other indispensable kitchen gear. Here's why it's so handy.

Camping 101: Beyond A Match For Good Winter Fire Starting

Building a fire in the winter can be a grueling experience if you are in a weather crunch that pits you against wind, chilling temperatures, possibly wet wood, and the shakes from head to toe. It's at times like these when something that will extend that first flame a few extra minutes comes in very handy. Here are some proven ways to get a fire going in the dead of winter.

How To Rig A Bomb-proof Canoe Camp

Surprisingly, "bomb-proofing" a canoe camp against the cruelties of nature is a function of skills not things. You can "do it wrong" for years and develop bad habits, which are hard to break -- the reason why studying the ways of experts is so important at the start. So first learn the ropes, then attend to equipment. And commit these rules to practice.
