Reviews
2.5-watt Solar Battery Charger is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Price and Quality I was surprised at the price, read the reviews and purchased it. Once I got it I was surprised at the quality of the wiring, wiring connectors, and sturdiness of the solar panel. Its working like boss keeping my camper and tractor batteries charged. Only problem I had was initially installing the suction cup mounts - nothing a little baby oil didn't resolve. Will be buying another one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant Product I camp and fish using a personal flotation raft with a trolling Motor, Usually I'm out in the boonies with no hook ups at a Primitive lake, I keep my trolling motor battery plugged in all the time and I get a long extended use of that trolling Motor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to work okay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The solar panel has great features and seems to be well built. It's probably larger than I needed but I was able to mount it solid on the side of my feeder. My feeder is one that opens a metal door and requires a lot of power to open and close. The feeder also sits in a fairly shaded area. The solar panel isn't keeping the battery fully charged but it also isn't getting drained as quickly as usual. Considering the power demands of the feeder and shaded area it sits in, I'm not disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does an excellent job of maintaining a charge on a battery for a lawn garden tractor that is stored in a building that doesn't have electricity to it.

The main difference between them is complexity as the battery maintainers contains more advanced circuitry than most battery chargers. The circuitry is used to detect the charge level to determine if the battery needs a charge and how fast to charge it.Most battery chargers charge at a constant rate. This is often way below the rating of the battery and can take at least 10 hours or more. This is to reduce the possibility of overcharging a battery and is why most batteries are charged overnight. The circuitry of a battery maintainer is able to charge the battery at much higher rate while regulating the current to prevent overcharging. This can shorten charging time to just a few hours. <div class="bvseo-author">Answered by: Customer Service</div> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2015-08-26</div> </div> </div> <div class="bvseo-question-answer" data-questionid="1533007"> <h2 class="bvseo-question"> I have a 12v SLA 20AH battery, would this item work well in keeping it topped off when not in use? </h2> <div class="bvseo-question-detail"> </div> <div class="bvseo-author">Asked by: Greg</div> <div class="bvseo-answer" data-answerid="1810683"> Yes, it should. <div class="bvseo-author">Answered by: Customer Service</div> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2015-07-13</div> </div> </div> <div class="bvseo-question-answer" data-questionid="1432912"> <h2 class="bvseo-question"> Being disabled, I ride a mobility scooter.
