Rated 5 out of 5 by from These canteens are interesting items. Combination of wool and aluminum is nice because when wet wool dries it provides evaporative cooling, so you can cool water in the summer beyond ambient temperatures. Thermoses are for hot liquids. Czech stuff is the pretty cool for former commies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good canteens... especially for the price. Now I don't know about you guys... but did you ever try to heat water in a plastic canteen? it doesn't work out too well. These are well worth the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One was in passable condition, the other had some hideous, foul-reeking Cthulhu-esque effluvia burned to the interior. Hopefully it will be replaced with something less odious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They hold 27 fluid ounces and fit nicely into the side mesh pockets of the High Sierra Cirque 30 Pack Backpack I ordered along with them. Indoors they keep ice-water cold for over 2 hours, in the outer pockets of a backpack while biking up a mountain not so much, but adequate. Arrived in perfect condition, no dents or dings. I'm very glad to have them and would recommend them to anyone who wants aluminum water bottles.
