1856-1858 Flying Eagle Cent. Ready to be "deposited" in your collection!
Minted of a copper-nickel composition for circulation in 1857 to 1858, this James Barton Longacre design features a flying eagle on the obverse and a wreath of corn, wheat, cotton and tobacco leaves on the reverse. Ultimately, the Flying Eagle would be replaced by the Indian Head in 1859 because the coin's high relief proved too difficult to strike. Display case and certificate of authenticity included.
