Introduced in 1934, Mauser® built this "light" MG34 Machine Gun to a high standard. Light? The Gun weighed 26 lbs., 10 ozs., and they called that light. Anyway, the MG34 was never withdrawn from action. It served first-line formations on all fronts until 1945. Unlike other MGs, this baby introduced two radical concepts: an air-cooled general-purpose Machine Gun, and the use of belt feed in a "light" gun. Another innovation was the MG34's double-action trigger for easy operation. The belt-fed MG34 has a 243 / 4" long barrel and measures 48" .
This is the best grade of MG34 I've personally ever seen... so collectors, take note. Gun has been demilitarized to meet strict Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms restrictions. An aluminum dummy receiver was added, so it cannot be converted to fire. Plus, the feed tray is removed. This means you can buy it thru the mail, no problem. Condition: used, in excellent shape.
