Breeding Stage Of The Rut
Summary Image Generally speaking, by the 10th of November, the main breeding cycle has begun. During this narrow window of time each season, the lion's share of all the does will be bred. Arguably, this phase of the rut is the very best time to kill a top-end buck. At no other time of the year will a mature buck be moving more during daylight hours than now. Also, at no other time of year will a mature buck throw caution to the wind as he does now.
